10 Great Bali Restaurants

Tired of your typical Bali resort restaurant? Why not go explore all the great dining options that this beautiful tropical island has to offer? Here are ten great restaurant suggestions throughout the island.

1.      Luthu’s Coffee Shop, Sanur

Specialized in great coffee and sweet treats, this coffee shop, right on Sindhu beach, can fix your coffee or sugar habit. The food is both cheap and excellent, and the service always friendly and warm. Try their famous lemon cheesecake.

2.      Bridges, Ubud

A new addition to the Ubud restaurant lineup, Bridges is owned by a Frenchman and the kitchen is managed by a young Australian chef. This makes the food quite interesting. Perfect for a romantic dinner, the Bridges serves contemporary cuisine specialized in seafood. Claude, the owner, gives you meal suggestions himself. A must-try!

3.      Lestari Grill & Pasta, Jalan Umalas

If you can actually find the place, you’ll be impressed by the quality of the food. As the name indicates, the menu consists mostly of meat dishes and pasta; you can also find some classic Indonesian dishes. The prices are reasonable and the service always impeccable.

4.      Gourmand Deli, Nusa Dua

Located in the St. Regis hotel, the Gourmand Deli features a chocolate fountain that kids will love, great handmade gelati and the expected meat cold cuts. The gelati flavors will surprise and impress you. A bit expensive for Bali standards, but worth a stop if you’re in the area.

5.      Kayu Manis, Sanur

For that special occasion, don’t miss the Kayu Manis. Probably one of the more expensive Bali restaurants, it’s certainly worth the price: you’ll get a fine dining version of Indonesian dishes. Make sure you book in advance as the restaurant is quite small and doesn’t usually accommodate walk-ins.

6.      Bali Cardamon, Tanjungbenoa

For a late-night bite or a sweet craving, Bali Cardamon is the answer to your prayers. Fresh ingredients, original flavours and personalized service make this restaurant a favorite of tourists and locals alike. If you show up before 6PM, you get 20% off!
